Sentinel RMS™ keyless network licensing now includes the option to create a reservation file that specifies how many licenses are reserved for specific PCs or groups of users. This ensures that licenses are always available to these users.
You specify the number of licenses that are reserved for a group. Group members can still access all licenses, but the number of reserved licenses you specified is no longer available for other users who are not included in the group.
For example, if you have ten licenses and you reserve five for group 'QA_Team', members of the group have ten licenses available to them. Other users, who are not part of QA Team, have only five licenses available to them.
You can also use the reservation file to prevent certain users from accessing a license. If you exclude a user (or machine) from a reservation group, that user or machine cannot access that license at all.
To create and edit strategies, you need a full Strategy Manager license. Edgecam 2009 R2 introduces the new Strategy Manager Run Only license (product code ENSTR-R) that is useful for machines/users that only need to view and run strategies.
Edgecam 2009 R2 introduces a set of reference guides in PDF format for quick deployment of your licenses. Ideally suited for printing, you may prefer to use these guides if you are installing the licenses on a number of PCs or on a server, for example.
