Running Edgecam on a 64-bit Operating System
Edgecam's toolpath generation program can now run as a native 64-bit application on 64-bit operating systems (Windows Vista and XP). This allows Edgecam to take advantage of the increased memory available on the 64-bit operating system. The improved efficiency of the memory handling can lead to improved toolpath calculation times of up to 50% saving and larger toolpaths can be generated.
Re-saving parts containing solid bodies is now quicker. This is because after the initial save, the embedded solid file is not included in the file save (the solids never change within Edgecam so there is no need to re-save them). This also applies to Autosave.
Here is an example table of improvements:

Picking and Intellisnap is now much quicker, when you are extracting geometry from solids (Edge Loop Feature), or snapping to a vertex for example. This is especially noticeable with large part files (more than 50 MB).
