On loading a STEP file, Part Modeler now attempts to simplify face geometry after conversion to a solid model.
For example a freeform cylinder representation may be converted to a cylindrical surface.
This may help with subsequent feature finding in Edgecam.
This enhancement means you may experience better results if you first open STEP files into Part Modeler, save and open the .pmod file into Edgecam, rather than loading directly into Edgecam.
